Last full day

Well we blew it out yesterday. It rained, I got a massage, a cruise ship disembarked its passengers, we drank a ton of beer and met this guy who said he was from New York and builds big fashion stores all over the world. We showed him how to have some fun. Which he was not having enough of.

today, it is very sunny so we will be hitting the beach any minute. Last night we had ribeyes at La chopiraza. This morning the breakfast buffet at the Glass Bar. we are not losing any weight.

Lost days

Hmm, I guess we didn{t come to the internet cafe yesterday. Or i didn{t post.

We have had more good food, red snapper whole, poc chuc, chilaquiles, some tres mediocre bread pudding. I am going to have to get way more descriptive here if I want to grow up to be a travel writer.

Annie got a massage on the beach and i think i will have one today. Not actually ON the beach, but at a table at the beach. ON the beach would be very sandy, what with all that massage oil and all.

Our bar bill yesterday was $24 and the bartender says Not bad for drinking all day. What kind of remark is that? But he was right. we had been there for almost 10 hours pretty much drinking continuously. I had some pina coladas but Annie sticks right with the Dos XX Ambar, as they are called down here.

We talked about taking the bus up to Puerto Moreles but it might require more energy than we have. Hasta luego, muchachos.

Yay, sun!

Good thing I wrote early yesterday because after that, we drank many many beers with some Canadians we met at the hotel beach bar and then drank more on our balcony and then stumbled to John Gray{s kitchen and had amberjack (so so) and filet mignon (pretty good) and creme brulee and wine and coffee and were in bed by 8 pm

About 1:30 am we were up trying to figure out how the air conditioner worked in the room. Mostly it{s just eating and drinking. I know, it{s tragic. Also tragic is the fact that i can not find the apostrophe on this mexican keyboard.

So the photos will have to wait. Nobody seems to know where there is a computer with my camera software on it.

Today the sun is out, it is a little windy and we are wandering around mid-afternoon drinking in various bars. Reading. Etc. It is vacation, after all. XO to you all.

somos en mexico

Ola! We got here yesterday and the sun was not out. In fact, it was raining like a bitch at the airport. This has not prevented us from wearing shorts and tank tops however.

Today again, the rain. Not a lot but we haven{t lain in the sand on the beach yet. We HAVE had many beers and me, some margs. I apparently need to find a computer with Kodak share software to get pictures up here. So you{ll just have to make do with the text for now.

Lots of walking around, scoping out all the new stuff. Way more of the streets are paved than when we were here last 2 years ago.

Our hotel room balcony overlooks the beach and ocean. I think i am relaxing.

Kay's birthday

it's Kay's birthday next week so we all went to Connie D's for pasta and wine and cake and stuff. Here's Kay opening some presents with the hostess on the left and Lisa off to the other side.

Vera and Donna were there too.

Martha showed up late, Amy had plenty o wine and Sherry holds forth on something.

A lovely bowl of fruit that soon was cleared from the table for the chow.

Next week, I'll be in Mexico. But first there's the Kim and Jim party Saturday night. Stay tuned for that bunch o fun.
